We Can Help You Make It Happen.

Help Is Available.

Public Health Units and Smokers’ Helpline staff can provide consultation and support as you develop cessation services for your client population.

Smokers’ Helpline Quit Connection

  • provides a seamless integration between the cessation services of Smokers’ Helpline and health professionals who identify and refer clients who smoke or want to remain smoke-free
  • eliminates the need for clients to call Smokers’ Helpline. Instead, a Smokers’ Helpline Quit Coach will contact the tobacco user to provide services.

Tobacco Control Area Networks (TCANs) can provide links with Public Health Units and  local / regional cessation communities of practice and work groups. Cessation communities of practice and work groups bring together health care providers who are local cessation champions and are committed to working together to:

  • Increase cessation services through collaboration
  • Share resources
  • Learn from each other and experts in the field

For more information about local cessation initiatives contact the TCAN Coordinator in your area.
